Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training

 Advance your understanding of the body in movement and broaden your knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.
On this course you will become a skilful Pilates studio practitioner, able to see beneath posture, capable of identifying tension patterns and communicating movement through touch and language. You will learn to read fascial relationships throughout the body and make an intelligent choice when modifying exercises and prescribing movement.

OUR MISSION

We are committed to provide students with the highest standard of comprehensive Pilates teacher training, deepening the student’s understanding of anatomy and enhancing their education in the Pilates method and movement science.

We prepare our students to have an integral view of the body in movement and adjust and tailor each session to the client’s specific needs.
We are committed to update our teaching with the latest movement and fascial research. 

We focus on inspiring movement professionals with up to date continued professional development, through relevant professional workshops and a five month long fascial anatomy course.

Who is it for?

Prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must have an appropriate level of knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology*

  • Must have Math and English GCSE

  • Have no injuries or health conditions that would prevent performance of exercises during the course of the program

  • Must have a qualification in pilates or another field related to bodywork and movement
    (pilates mat training, yoga, dance, osteopathy)  

OR

  • Have attended at least 100 hours of Pilates classes and be proficient with an intermediate level class** 


*We offer a one day ‘Introduction to Anatomy’ course prior to the start of the training programme. We request you either attend our course or complete the online Anatomy and Physiology course “Anatomy and physiology for the exercise and fitness instructor” offered by YMCA.
**Reference required from the Pilates instructor and/or studio where you have been attending classes. This may be more than one studio.

  • Register your interest, please complete the form bellow to receive our full application form

  • Complete application form and submit for review by Course Co-ordinator 

  • Undertake a short interview with Course Director 

  • Accept offer of enrolment from the Course Director

Modules & Dates:

The course has a format of 9 weekend modules followed by a student. apprenticeship. Find out more about full course format here.

Course modules will run over the weekend: 9am - 5pm on Saturday & Sunday
